In addition to other activities, it shall be the duty of the town marshal and deputy marshals to enforce the street traffic regulations of the town and all state motor vehicle laws applicable to the street traffic in the town; to make arrests for traffic violations; to investigate all traffic accidents and make reports on the appropriate accident report forms; to maintain records of all arrests and warnings; to cooperate with other officers of the city for the improvement of traffic conditions and to file an annual report with the town council concerning the number of moving traffic violations and other data on traffic law enforcement activities.
