2.20.010 Benefits provided for full-time employees of the town police department and other town employees.

Full-time employees are only those paid employees who are scheduled to work an average of 32 hours per week on a regular basis.
Reserve police officers of the town are not to be considered either full-time or part-time employees of the town as their employment status is covered by Indiana law regarding reserve police officers in Title 36 of the Indiana Code.
(1) Workers’ Compensation Insurance. The town will provide workers’ compensation insurance.
(2) Uniform Allowance. The uniform allowance for the town marshal of the police department shall be as determined by the town council in its annual salary ordinance for the calendar year. [Amended during 2020 recodification; Ord. 17-04 § 2, 2017; Ord. 16-05 § 2, 2016.]
